Episode 78 - Break Up to Make Up

Part 1 of 2. It must of been love but it's over now so the necromancers are looking back to where it all went wrong. That's right. The theme is break ups! Bret and Shira leave town on the Heartbreak Express. Their first stop: Cold War era Berlin for Bret's pick, Possession (1981). Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani make Kramer vs. Kramer look like Sesame Street. Don't be somebody we used to know and stick around for the necromancers' remixes. 

Episode 77 - Rootin‘ and Tootin‘

Part 2 of 2. The devil has Georgia covered so Bret and Shira go down to Louisiana instead to finish off their country tour. Up next is Bret's pick, Southern Comfort, a Southern cautionary tale of what happens when you run afoul of Cajuns in the swamp. Episode 76 - Hootin' and Hollerin'

Part 1 of 2. The necromancers wind up way down yonder on the Chattahoochee exploring this week's theme: country! Bret and Shira might be a little bit more rock n' roll but they still know how to walk the line. First up is Shira's pick, Sweet Home Alabama. Will Bret find Josh Lucas' tractor sexy or will he wish for deliverance? Tune in to find out and then stick around the hoedown for some country fried remixes. 

Episode 75 - Ghoulfriend Experience with Dr. Heather King

Who's afraid of Jane Austen? Not Bret and certainly not Shira's ghoulfriend Dr. Heather King. Heather helps the necromancers get to the bottom of Jane's addiction to comedies of manners and the romance community's addiction to her. Heather's pick, Northanger Abbey, also proves that Miss Austen knows a thing or two about remixing genres in this gothic satire. Come for the high society and stay for the low comedy! 

Episode 74 - Golden Time

Bret and Shira are back! In honor of a listener's donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the necromancers let them pick the theme: anime about 1960's Japan. If there's one takeaway from Japan's "golden 60s," it's that girls with pigtails run the world full stop. Between Umi in From Up on Poppy Hill and Saya in Blood: The Last Vampire, is there anything they can't do? Come for the groovy anime goodness and then stick around the duo's hot take remixes including... One long period joke!?!

Episode 73 - Ghoulfriend Experience with Jessica Jastrzebski

Ghoulfriend Jessica Jastrzebski stops by Necromancer to cover her favorite movie Aliens. Bret's love of scifi is well established at this point and Shira is ready to invite Jessica back anytime she wants to talk about badass female heroes. There's something for everyone in this episode. But it wouldn't be Necromancer without some rom com remixes. Come for Sigourney Weaver and then get away from her, you bitch!

Episode 72 - Hello from the Other Side

Part 2 of 2. The necromancers exorcise any remaining spirits as they finish up the theme of possession. Up next is Shira's pick, All of Me. Steve Martin may not want any part of the ghost of Lily Tomlin but will Bret say no to all of her? Listen to find out and then stick around for some horror remixes.
