Episode 18 - I'm on a Boat

Come sail away with Bret and Shira for an extra nautical episode of movies set on boats! The sea sure is a cruel mistress. If the murderous entity aboard the abandoned ship in Virus doesn't get you, beware of the card sharks on the ocean liner home. Nothing gets by The Lady Eve. With just enough time to get their sea legs, the duo finish by diving into remixes guaranteed to float your boat. 

Episode 17 - I'll Sleep When I'm Undead

What's in your head, in your head? Zombie! Zombie! Zombie-ie-ie! In preparation for the inevitable Z Day, Bret and Shira are taking notes from this week's movies on how to get by. Good cardio may help you survive one Night of the Living Deb but it's the friends you make along the way who will help you last through 28 Days Later. Not content to let dead things lie, our hosts rise from their graves to pitch their own zombie movies. 

Episode 16 - An Episode Only a Mother Could Love

In honor of Mother's Day, Bret and Shira have asked their moms to pick the movies this week. These moms prove they are not to be messed with when it comes to great movie taste. Bret's mom serves up creepy Carrie first and then Shira's mom finishes the job with America's first sweethearts in The Thin Man. Remixing two movies this great is a hell of a challenge but the results will make a mama proud. 

Episode 15 - I Put a Spell on You

Keep your sage sticks and palo santo handy because Bret and Shira are covering curses! Where there's a Rom Com or Horror protagonist in need of a lesson, there will inevitably be a magical being ready to curse them. And boy do the characters of Penelope and Drag Me to Hell have a lot to learn. The necromancers aren't very superstitious but just to be safe, they'll air their remixes to dispel any restless spirits.  

Episode 14 - Tom Cruisin' for a Bruisin'

It's another actor themed episode, now starring Tom Cruise! For long-time Cruise fan Bret, this mission is far from impossible. But can the acting legend impress Shira with his romance chops or should he stick to action thrillers? Find out while they explore Tommy Boy's range from menacing Jamie Foxx in Collateral to wooing Cameron Diaz in Knight and Day. Are the remixes in this episode the greatest Tom Cruise vehicles ever conceived? You can't handle the truth! 

Episode 13 - And I Would've Gotten Away With It Too

Don't you just hate it when you get mistaken for someone else, like Peter Gallagher's fiance or an Argentinian crime lord? One day you're minding your business and the next moment you're taking on a false identity. As Rom Com and Horror fans, Bret and Shira have seen it all before. They take a look back at old favorites While You Were Sleeping and The Aura before serving up some new twists on a tried and true trope. 

Episode 12 - Stranger than Science Fiction

Shira thinks her pick Galaxy Quest employs the conventions and tropes of Rom Coms. Is it Science Fiction or truth? Only Bret can decide. With Forbidden World, Bret's pick, there's no question that the characters are living through a good ol' fashioned Space Horror. The pressure is on when the duo returns from galaxies far, far away to pitch their remixes. Can sexy smugglers, space princesses and ragtag crews save the universe? Listen and find out. 

Episode 11 - The Year Was 1971

When Bret confessed to Shira that he wished he chose The Abominable Dr. Phibes for the previous episode, the fix was easy: a 1971 themed episode! Welcome to the 70s, where love is intense and life is cheap (that 70s crime rate is no joke). If Vincent Price isn't your 70s masculine ideal, you can always settle for Walter Matthau, the lead of our other 1971 film: A New Leaf. Come for the kooky 70s realness and stay for the even weirder remixes! 

Episode 10 - What's Up, Doc?

Doctors hate them! Because Bret and Shira are diagnosing the trouble with doctors in Romance and Horror. Whether they're cheating death like the medical students in Flatliners or becoming the singular obsession of a small town like Dr. Paul Lewis of The Grand Seduction, the necromancers have just the prescription: a healthy dose of movie remixes. 

Episode 9 - I Come From a Land Down Under

Bret and Shira head to the Australian Outback to find out which animal is more dangerous: the hungry dancers of Strictly Ballroom or the man-eating crocodile from Rogue. With so many ways to die in the land down under, will they survive their attempt to swap genres between Rom Com and Horror?
